I will be watching PONY. It has been a great mover. Some healthy pullback and consolidation action recently. Not amazing Earnings and more importantly not much of a reaction from the stock…. Quick pop but on low volume. That being said if there is some kind of delayed reaction to the upside or the company has follow up PRs and it gaps over recent resistance it could go on another big run like it has from 4 to 20 (see chart below). I like the chart and things said in the ER were interesting to me. Unprofitable and barely any revenue but I look at this sector like the AI sector boom. FUTURE valuations is imo what the market is “pricing”. Similar to tesla trading 128x LTM. Essentially almost exact opposite of my thoughts on UNH lol (alot of emphasis on valuation in that one).
From the article attached that sounded nice that the company can build off of. “By the end of this year, New York-listed Pony AI aims to expand its fleet to more than 1,000 robotaxis from around 300, and has been spending big as it aims for mass production by mid-2025.”
and
“In April, the company said it managed to cut production costs of its most advanced autonomous-driving system by 70%, bringing it closer to profitability.”
I currently do not have a position in PONY. I have traded it before and I most likely will trade it again in the future at my own discretion. I am only synthesizing publicly available information. You do what you want and I will do what I want.
